Sharks back for a second bite

19 September, 2018

In 2016 victory reigned through the Sutherland Shire as the Cronulla Sharks took the NRL premiership title. The teams’ success made history as the win was the first for the Cronulla Sharks since the club began in 1967. The excitement and joy which was brought upon the local community is incredibly memorable.

Having had a taste of triumph and they are back for a second bite. The Sharks are entering the remaining weeks with an insatiable hunger for another round of success. It is no longer just a football game. It is the very thing which brings the Shire community together to stand as one.

The game has something for everyone. It is what the lifelong members wait all year for. It is a chance for the kids to get their faces painted black, white and blue or the game which might lead to a new Sharks tattoo. It is a night with the girls in the corporate suite. It is a fun family outing or a perfect first date. The experience a finals football game brings is unforgettable.

Week in and week out, the Sharks have fought for their position in the final series. The premiership is earned not given and they are ready to take back what is theirs. Be there with your team to support them when they need you most.

Transport

With the masses who attend to be part of the excitement and comradery, lies the issue of transport. Bus services from the Leagues Club and integrated train ticketing offers a simple solution. In order to stand as one, we must ride as one. The Cronulla Sharks Leagues Club strives to make the experience as simple and as enjoyable as possible by offering an affordable transport service on game day. Community

The Cronulla Sharks are asking the people of the Sutherland Shire to stand as one, ride as one and support as one. Throughout the final series the Sharks endeavour to raise funds for the farmers of New South Wales who are struggling through the devastating drought conditions. To assist in fundraising the Cronulla Sharks have paired up with Rural Aid, the National Famers’ Federation and the Buy a Bale program to assist our hardworking farmers.

A little can go a long way.

Experience the game on the commercial side

The finals are a riveting time of year. The teams’ performances are exceptional and the atmosphere is vibrant.
